Jackson 58, Ferndale 33

FERNDALE — The Timberwolves (2-0) put together a dominant performance in their second win of the season. Jackson led 31-8 at halftime and got a boost from Makena Devine all night, as the sophomore forward finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

Darrington 56, Crescent 29

DARRINGTON — Powered by a 33-point game from senior forward Claire Wright, Darrington (1-1) took down Crescent (1-1). Darrington led wire-to-wire, winning each quarter, in the Loggers’ first win of the season.

Mount Vernon 49, Marysville-Getchell 12

MARYSVILLE — The Bulldogs (4-0) stayed perfect on the season and had a perfect first half in a resounding win over the Chargers (0-3) — Mount Vernon finished the first two quarters leading 27-0. Freshman guard Anaya Saldivar had a game-high 16 points for the Bulldogs while Marysville-Getchell senior guard Max Struss led her team with four points.

MILL CREEK — The Timberwolves (1-1) earned their first win of the season in a close contest against the Mavericks (1-1). Junior guard Seamus Williams led the way for Jackson with 17 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Senior guard Natnael Ghirmay had a game-high 18 for Meadowdale in the loss.

Crescent 51, Darrington 40

DARRINGTON — Crescent (2-0) defeated Darrington (0-2) despite a 22-point outing from Darrington junior Hunter Anderson.

MOUNT VERNON — The Bulldogs (6-1) were victorious over the Bruins (1-5) thanks to a pair of strong performances from Ashlynn Huss (369) and Kai Ostrum (338). The Bruins were led by Mena Russell’s 240-point series and got 232 from Maya Mikesell.

FERNDALE — The Borderites (1-2) won a close series over the Seagulls (4-2). Blaine’s Ainslee Ellis finished with a series-high 296 while Everett’s Lexie Zabel bowled 250 in the loss.
